Nutrition for corals is an important aspect for reef keepers. In certain situations, coral feedings can be necessary. An example is in small nano tanks, where there are not enough fish to supply the corals with enough ammonia and phosphate.
Luckily this can be solves with direct feedings. Tropic Marin Zooton is a dry powdered food, which mimics the nutrients in zooplankton and also contains important vitamins.
On the wild reefs, twice a day a bloom of nutrients happen as the zooplankton and other particles move through the reef. This is a feeding frenxy for the corals. Tropic Marin Zooton can achieve this effect too.
This food is easily broadcast fed, but I like to use it as a direct food every once in a while, which this food is excellent at. These photos show some LPS corals being fed a small amount, and it's obvious how the corals accept this food.
With a recommended dosage of a small spoon for every 200 liters twice a day, this container lasts a long time too.
