A long time ago, I bought a rather dull and brown encrusting coral. Turned out it was a leptoseris. A very cheap coral. I put it in the bottom of my reef and gave it no thought. I must admit, after setting up the nano tank and putting the leptoseris in that, front and center, I really changed my mind about this coral. It loves the low light and high nutrient condition in that tank. It is exceedingly bright and the pattern it creates is wonderful. I really think these are underappreciated, and they should be in many more reef tanks. What coral do you think is underappreciated? - Samuel Christensen
