The Tropic Marin tank has a purpose. That purpose is to show how easily you can keep a successful reef tank, and give a realistic view on results and what a good healthy reef tank looks like in a busy life. A tank that almost anyone can keep.
That is why all the photos are unedited and most certainly taken without orange gel filter! Just to show why, here are two corals from the TM tank. Taken with and without the gel filter. If new hobbyists only see the bright filtered photos, they get unrealistic views on what a nice coral actually looks like. The photos, without bright colors, are what the corals actually look like to the human eye. So that's why the TM tank is shown without filters. -Samuel Christensen
