Product description

Professional ICP seawater laboratory analysis.
The chemical elements of the seawater sample are analyzed using ICP-OES. In addition, other measurement methods are used to analyze other important parameters and nutrient concentrations. A sample of reverse osmosis water is also tested.

After the measurement, the user can call up the detailed analysis report on the website lab.tropic-marin.com. They receive well-founded recommendations for correcting any imbalances. Users can also track the history of past water analyses for each of their aquariums on the website.

Deficits can be corrected using Tropic Marin® Block multi-element solutions or Tropic Marin® Components single-element solutions.

Application & Dosage

  1. Register on the website lab.tropic-marin.com and create your aquariums.

  2. Register your water sample with the individual sample number (in the packaging) on the website. To do this, go to the website and enter the number code under “new sample”. Alternatively, simply scan the QR code on the label with the sample number. This step is very important: without registering the sample, the water sample sent in cannot be assigned and you will not receive a result.

  3. Rinse the vials with the white lid several times with aquarium or osmosis water.

  4. Fill the 50 ml cuvette with aquarium water from the center of the tank.

  5. Take two more water samples one after the other using the syringe provided. Squeeze the first 10 ml of water back into the aquarium through the syringe filter and then squeeze the remaining 15 ml into the vials with white lids and close them.

  6. Rinse the 15 ml flask with the red lid with reverse osmosis water and then fill it with the same.

  7. Stick a label with the sample number on each cuvette. Stick the label with the red logo on the cuvette with the red lid.

  8. Stick the address label on the packaging box and send the water samples to the specified address.

  9. You will be informed by e-mail when the analysis is complete. You can call up the results as a PDF or display them online. In the latter case, a history of the water values for each aquarium is also displayed.

You can find an illustrated quick guide here.

Other product recommendations

We recommend checking the water values regularly using Tropic Marin® ICP Water Analysis or Tropic Marin® ICP Water Analysis Plus.

The Tropic Marin® Block Analysis System (BAS) is suitable for correcting deficiencies, in which elements similar to consumption are also dosed using an indicator element.
